Zilberman Gallery Berlin (until July 30, 2018), The Common Ancestor

The Common Ancestor takes as starting point the ancient Chinese machine known as the South Pointing Chariot and presents video, sculpture and paper works that address the power and absurdity of certain geographical fictions, as well as the mechanisms for their legitimation.

The exhibition catalogue Pedro Gómez-Egaña: The Common Ancestor is available through Zilberman Gallery, and includes texts by Lotte Laub, Aaron Schuster, and an artist interview by Natasha Ginwala.
